This program is for those who have just finished 7th, 8th and 9th grade. Participants will learn to lead while having fun, engaging in community involvement projects, and attending field trips so top secret that they've yet to be announced. They will learn what it means to be a camp counselor while getting hands on experience creating their own activities and games, and have the opportunity to teach them to Kingston Recreation Summer Playground Program staff and children. Participants will become part of a close knit team, and the interactive activities they will participate in will enable them to develop social skills and responsibility. Community service projects may also be counted towards High School required community service hours for those 8th graders entering High School next year and the 9th graders currently in High School.
Time: 9am – 1pm; Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, & Friday (does not meet on Wednesday's)
